It’s not just any scanner - it can scan both flat and 3D artwork to capture every single blob of paint, textured brush stroke, or coffee stain (don’t worry, we can photoshop that out though). This means we can scan almost any surface, no matter how you create your work!

With one of the best scanners in the market and a team of highly-trained, detail-oriented technicians, our artwork reproduction service delivers a perfect print-ready file that is as close as humanly possible to your original artwork (we’re a bit obsessive about it).
We’ll take care of the scanning, precision retouching, and colour balancing so you can get back to creating. You’ll get a perfect master file of your artwork, and we’ll throw in a print sample too!
Raw Scan.
If you’ve got superhuman retouching skills or want to have a crack at editing your own files - this ones for you! We’ll scan your artwork for you, crop it to size, and send it on its way without any other edits.
Scanning FAQs

We can scan up to A0 in size (841 x 1189mm)! Please note that scans larger than A2 are scanned in sections and digitally stitched together to create a seamless final artwork.

Turn around times vary depending on how many jobs we have on the go. As a general rule, raw scans will take up to 2 working days, whereas our artwork reproduction service takes a minimum of one week. If you need a scan done by a certain date, please reach out via email print@badartprints.com and we’ll try and facilitate where possible!

Your artwork must stay on site during the whole scanning process as we may need to re-scan and make adjustments to make sure it's absolutely perfect! Don’t worry, we take the utmost care when handling and storing your artwork - we’re artists too, and we know how important it is that your artwork is well looked after during the process! All artwork must be delivered to and picked up from our studio in Coburg, and arrive unframed. Postage of original artworks can be arranged at your own cost.

We offer scans at both 600 and 1200 pixels per inch, both of which deliver super crisp final artwork files thanks to our incredible scanner. The size of your original artwork and the size you intend to print it at will determine the resolution you should scan at. For example, we’d recommend 1200 ppi resolution for an A5 scan printed at an A2 size, whereas 600ppi would be more than enough for an A4 scan printed at A4 size. If you have any questions about which resolution is right for you, send us an email and we’ll be happy to help!

Of course! We’d love to walk you through every step of the process, from artwork reproduction to a final print. Please see our Print Services page for further details and pricing, or send us an email to get the ball rolling. We offer a 5% discount on all combined scanning and print jobs.
